Nullwake
A downloadable game for Windows
Nullwake demo
In this demo, you find yourself in a strange, quiet place that feels… strange. Not dangerous, not dramatic—just strange, in the sense that it begs the question: “Why does everything here feel a little off?”
There's fog everywhere, empty houses, cracked roads, a long silence. No one's chasing you, no one's jumping out—but everything around you seems to be hiding something and pretending otherwise.
Fun.
What is this demo about?
"Nullwake" is built on a gradual buildup of tension. No loud, scary noises, no explosions—just the constant pressure you feel when your brain constantly says,
"Okay... something here is definitely watching me."
The demo demonstrates the mood, visuals, and atmosphere we're aiming for. Even the smallest details matter—lighting, sounds, shadows, doors opening too slowly, the wind suddenly dying down.
Where will you explore?
You'll be walking through one of the first locations in the full game. It's quiet, a little uneasy, and she really likes to pretend everything is fine.
The graphics emphasize realism and mood: cool colors, long shadows, broken buildings, and an overall feeling of "yeah... this place needs therapy."
What will you experience?
Despite its brevity, the demo video gives a real idea of:
- slow research
- subtle world-building
- early game mechanics
- the general "Nullwake atmosphere"
There is nothing random here - everything has some meaning, even if that meaning is “you will understand it later.”
After the demonstration
If you like this atmosphere, the full version expands it in all directions:
- more areas to explore
- more tension
- more secrets
- and a deeper journey into places that absolutely shouldn't exist

New comments. After the game creator showed me what to do I was able to complete the demo while noticing some glitched and texture error.
When going back up from the basement to the book case where the burning man appears there's an instance that he appears again when I go up stairs and back down to the same bookcase, he appears again with no script. Last thing is the book in the basement has a texture error where I can see through the book.
other than that, it's a scary demo that is a solid 4.5 from me.
Went through the Wooden House without rushing and enjoyed the overall vibe. The sound design and emptiness really help the atmosphere. The transition toward the forest at the end feels intriguing, like a hint that the next area will be very different.
Ball puzzle does not work and game crashed after picking petrol oil in the bathroom. Game may have missing mechanics and glitches
context on the ball puzzle. Cannot place the ball on the puzzle board labeled "Daddy's Gift" and the only option for the ball is to discard
Hi! Thanks for reporting this and for the detailed feedback 🙌
About the ball puzzle — there is actually no bug there. You just need to press the puzzle start button. As shown in the screenshots, the puzzle does not activate automatically. Once you start it, you can interact with the puzzle and continue playing normally. The ball does not need to be placed manually.
Regarding the game crash after picking up the petrol oil: the game has been tested many times, and no other players have reported this issue so far. It may be a system-specific problem, but we will still look into it and investigate further just in case.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience — it really helps us improve the game. If you notice anything else, feel free to let us know 👍
I honestly tried that. Nothing happened. It's why I assumed it was a glitch. I could try the game again since I'm about to stream 3 Scary Games Today on Kick.com/pixelplusvt
